REIC data from the Government Housing Bank show 13,540 housing transfers in the EEC in Q2 2026, up 21.7%, though new land-allocation licences fell and the recovery leaned on government measures.
The Real Estate Information Center (REIC) of the Government Housing Bank reports that the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) recorded 13,540 housing transfers worth THB32.012 billion in the second quarter of 2026, up 21.7% and 18.5% respectively from a year earlier.
Overall and by province
Landed homes led with 9,872 units, or 72.9% of transfers, up 23.4%.
For the first half of 2026 as a whole, transfers reached 24,184 units, up 17.1% from 20,660 a year earlier.
Chon Buri was the largest market with 15,928 transfers (up 15.1%) worth THB39.249 billion (up 8.8%), followed by Rayong with 6,165 units (up 20.2%) worth THB13.319 billion (up 21.7%) and Chachoengsao with 2,091 units (up 23.7%) worth THB4.492 billion (up 23.7%).
On construction, second-quarter permits totalled 8,311 units, up 36.5%.
What to keep in mind
The recovery is not across the board. Only 41 new land-allocation licences were issued in the first half, down 24.1%, covering 2,265 units, down 43.9%.
Condominiums recorded 6,878 transfers in the first half, up 5.2%, but their value of THB15.048 billion was down 1.9%.
REIC says the recovery was supported by government stimulus measures, and the open question is how far real demand can carry the market as that support fades.
